Strategy Update for those who missed it last month

Customer & Account Support

What an end to the Summer…

Customer Support have been absolute champions this summer and have been resilient throughout, especially when it came to our summer time favourite, the Creamfields Mums and Dads…

Speaking of Creamfields, although it isn’t as demanding as previous years, it was a team effort to get tickets dispatched and everyone played their part.

On Thursday 5th September, the CS team will be attending a webinar on the topic of “Supporting Your Vulnerable Customers” which aims to increase confidence in handling these types of sensitive calls. It will also tie in quite nicely with an integration we are currently working on with a company called Nimbus and the Accessibility Card. More details about this will be shared in future newsletters and on Slack.

The Customer Support Insta page continues to go from strength to strength with some exciting content and collaborations with the Media Team coming up for Freshers, Halloween and Christmas. If you don’t already, please give us a follow – @skiddlehelp

As many of us will be breathing a sigh of relief that Festival Season has nearly finished, Account Support are doing the same, in particular Vicky who as always has done a sterling job of keeping the guide up to date with help from Molly, Alex, Leigha and James.

Within Account Support, the team have turned their attention to Freshers, ensuring that listings are informative, clear and receiving all the necessary support to make this series of events a success this year.

Harley, Jonny and Rory are also working on improving the BDM Handover process. The current process has been in for quite some time and is not very fit for purpose these days. Therefore, they’re working with Sam to review and improve what we currently do as well as looking to integrate Intercom and Google Calendars to allow the team to manage BDM Handovers more effectively and provide our new accounts with a better service and onboard welcome.

Electric car scheme update

Over the past couple of months The Electric Car Scheme have been adding to their Used EV offering to further increase the savings that Skiddle employees can see when using the benefit.

There are two key advantages:

  1. You can save up to 40% more
  2. You can now opt-in to a shorter lease term (starting from 12 months) You can log in to the Instant Quote Tool and have a look at the range of vehicles and prices (stock availability will change daily). You can also view some Example Savings here too.

To remind yourself of how the scheme works, feel free to watch the Employee Explainer Video

Any car related questions will be best answered by the EV Specialist Team; feel free to email them at info@electriccarscheme.com or book in a video call here.

Business Development

August was a huge month for the BDM team, breaking all previous records for the number of new accounts signed in a single month! The team’s hard work and determination really paid off, with a strong focus on both growing existing relationships and pushing into new markets.

A big highlight this month has been the success we’re seeing in Northern Ireland. Since launching the promoter bursary, we’ve made great progress, and we’re now seeing accounts reach out to us organically. This is a massive step forward in building our presence there, showing that our brand is gaining real traction. It’s exciting to see how quickly the momentum has picked up in this region, and we’re confident there’s more growth to come.

On top of our geographical expansion, we’ve also added a new sector to our lifestyle offering—wrestling! This is a niche we hadn’t tapped into before, but Callum Brooks has already made some serious progress just a few weeks in. We’re seeing a lot of potential here, and it’s clear the wrestling community is ready to engage with Skiddle in a big way. This expansion is a great example of how we’re always looking for new opportunities to diversify and grow.

Overall, it’s been an exciting and record-setting month for the team. We’ve not only achieved incredible results but also laid the groundwork for even more success in the months ahead. The hard work is paying off, and we’re looking forward to keeping the momentum going strong!

Here’s a breakdown of our August highlights:

Diecast

Manchester’s most exciting new space, the 5000 capacity multi-function space is 250,000 square foot coming from the brains behind the popular Ramona and Firehouse. Cinnabar Group

This multi-venue company hosts dozens of lifestyle events each month, from bottomless brunch to bingo across 3 different cities

Rushmoor Fireworks

The event has been held at Manor Park for more than 20 years and has grown to be one of the largest public fireworks events in the region.

Temple House Music

launched in the Electronic scene by ADRIANNA, THM is a place for artists looking for a supportive and inclusive home to launch their work.

UK Pleasure Boys

Live on their XXL UK Tour this big lifestyle account is (in their words) ‘an electrifying night of sizzling entertainment that will leave you breathless!’

Emporium
